Merely a day after BJP leer Sangeet Som sparked controversy with his comments about Taj Mahal, Samajwi Party leer and former Uttar Presh minister Azam Khan ded fuel to alrey existing debate by claiming that Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Qutub Minar are "signs of slavery."
While dressing media, SP leer said, “I have always been of opinion that all monuments that depict slavery and smell of yesteryear rulers should be demolished. It is true that Muslims inved India. We should t go into details because that will make discussion bitter. I refrain from speaking on it orwise people will feel b. I h previously said, why just Taj Mahal? Why t Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Qutab Minar, Delhi's Lal Qila (Delhi's Red Fort)? y are all signs of slavery.”

Earlier on Monday, BJP MLA Sangeet Som, while dressing a function at Sisauli vill in Meerut district said that Taj Mahal, one of seven wonders of world, is a blot on Indian culture. He ded that traitors built Taj Mahal and it should t get in history. He said, “Many people were disappointed that Taj Mahal was removed from UP tourism booklet. What history are we talking about? creator of Taj Mahal (Shahjahan) imprisoned his far. He wanted to wipe out Hindus. If se people are part of our history, n it is very s and we will change this history.”

Responding to comments, AIMIM chief Asuddin Owaisi tweeted, "Traitors" also build Red Fort will Modi stop hoisting Tiranga? Can Modi and Yogi tell domestic and foreign tourist t to visit Taj Mahal?"
