Sufi Islamic Board says 'PFI part of Al-Qaeda'; reiterates demand to ban organisation

"Now after Al-Qaeda's death threat to the Sufi Islamic Board, it is proved the PFI is a part of the Al-Qaeda," a Sufi Islamic Board spokesperson said.

Claiming that Popular Front of India (PFI) is operating on direction from terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda,  Sufi Islamic Board has reiterated its demand of banning  extremist organisation in India. Speaking exclusively to Republic TV, Sufi Islamic Board spokesperson Kashish Warsi said that  PFI has been involved in work of instigating Indian Muslims for many years and claimed that y have received a death threat from Al-Qaeda after seeking a ban on PFI.

"PFI has been found involved in many anti-national activities. It's been some time since we have requested government to ban  PFI and now after Al-Qaeda's death threat to Sufi Islamic Board, it is proved PFI is a part of Al-Qaeda. We appeal to Central government to ban PFI and take strict action against m," Warsi told Republic.

'Decision of court should be accepted by all': Kashish Warsi on Gyanvapi case

spokesperson of Sufi Islamic Board, Warsi thanked government for blocking Twitter handle from which y received death threats.

When asked about his opinion on ongoing Gyanvapi issue, he declined to comment as matter was subjudice. However, he was of opinion that court's judgement should be accepted.

"To comment on a subjudice matter amounts to contempt of court. Whatever judgement of court in matter, everybody should accept it," he said.

Kerala High Court acknowledges PFI and SDPI are 'extremist' organisations 

In a key observation, Kerala High Court recently agreed re was no doubt that Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and its parent body Popular Front of India (PFI) are extremist organisations.  single-judge bench of High Court comprising Justice K Haripal also acknowledged that organisation were indulging in serious acts of violence, and despite that, he said that y were not banned.

Anor important observation on PFI was shared by Governor of Tamil Nu, RN Ravi during a book release. During his speech, Ravi called PFI a 'threat to India', and ded that rical group h 16 fronts to camouflage its true activities. He n enlisted how organisation was masking itself working in garb of a political party and human rights & rehabilitation group.
