Sunil Jakhar takes a jibe on Punjab CM Channi, Navjot Sidhu & Harish Rawat's meeting

Former Congress MP Sunil Jakhar took a jibe at Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi and state party chief Navjot Singh Sidhu & others meeting Rawat in Dehradun.

Congress leer Sunil Jakhar took a jibe at sight of Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi and state party chief Navjot Singh Sidhu along with or senior leers who met with  former state in-charge Harish Rawat in Dehrun. Rift between CM Channi & Navjot Sidhu

Intensifying infighting and factionalism within Indian National Congress, Sidhu lashed out at his own party and accused  CM Charanjit Singh Channi-led regime of "making false promises." Speaking at Samyukta Hindu Mahasabha,  Punjab Congress chief said, "Give people 'lollipops' in last two months. question is from where y'll (CM Channi-led government) give it? Is objective just to form govt by telling lies & making false promises? way of Punjab's welfare comes from a romap."

rift between Sidhu and CM Channi intensified on Monday after latter refused to accept resignation of vocate General Amar Preet Singh Deol. His ouster was one of main demands put forth by Sidhu for a possible rapprochement with party's top brass after being ignored for CM's post.

Punjab Congress factionalism

Congress has been in firefighting mode ever since Sidhu was appointed  PPCC chief, much to ex-CM Captain Amarinder Singh's dismay. After Amarinder Singh's resignation paved way for Charanjit Channi, first Dalit Sikh CM of Punjab, a similar sight was witnessed as Sidhu attempted to dictate terms, including key appointments in Punjab ministration. Tensions between Sidhu and new CM surfaced after reports claimed that he was miffed over appointment of Channi, with his camp backing for a 'Jatt Sikh' as a CM face. reafter, he raised his objections to  induction of Rana Gurjeet Singh into Cabinet.

With news of Captain Amarinder Singh floating his own outfit and hinting at an alliance with BJP, instability in Punjab Congress could strongly backfire for party ahe of 2022 polls.
