Andhra Pradesh BJP attacks YSRCP as SC upholds State Election Commissioner's reinstatement

BJP unit of Andhra Pradesh welcomed the Supreme Court order with party spokesperson Sadineni Yamini calling it is a lesson for the YSRCP led state Government.

Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to stay Andhra Presh High Court order reinstating Nimmagda Ramesh Kumar as State Election Commissioner (SEC). BJP unit of Andhra Presh has welcomed Supreme Court order with party spokesperson Sineni Yamini calling it a lesson for YSRCP led state Government.

"We welcome Supreme Court Judgement on Nimmagda Ramesh Kumar. SC has refused to stay Andhra HC orders in SEC case and asked defendants (Andhra Presh Government) to file counters in four weeks. It is a lesson for ruling YSRCP Government. However SC did t mention anything specifically about re-appointment of Ramesh in this judgement," Yamini said in a video mess.

"This judgement was expected as Andhra Presh has approached SC with a clear mala fide interest, just to satisfy ir ill decisions are correct. State should respect Judiciary, officers and constitutional bodies and stop misusing crores of public money. BJP is t doing any favour to any individual. However, we are supporting constitution. Andhra Presh HC has alrey given judgement against Andhra Prhesh government, it is time for Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to rethink on his visors and vocates who are helping and vising him," she ded.

Targeting Jagan Reddy government, she recalled ar Supreme Court judgement which went against state government in connection with painting of Government buildings with colours of YSRCP party flag.

"This is t first time SC has given a similar kind of judgement. Earlier in case of colouring of all government buildings with YSRCP colour, Andhra Presh Government was defeated," she said.

SC refused to stay order of high court which on May 29, h struck down Ordinance promulgated on April 10 by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, curtailing tenure of SEC from five to three years.

Reacting on SC decision and celebration of opposition, senior YSRCP leer Ambati Rambabu on Wednesday said that Supreme Court has t given verdict in State Election Commissioner (SEC) case, but rejected only to give stay in favour of State Government.
