Supriya Sule the top-performing MP of first session of 17th Lok Sabha
Supriya Sule has been named the top-performing MP of the first session of 17th Lok Sabha. Sule, MP form Baramati had previously topped the 16th Lok Sabha.

Supriya Sule, daughter of NCP Supremo Shar Pawar, has been named as best performing M.P. in first session of 17th Lok Sabha. Sule, of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), represents Baramati constituency in Maharashtra. She initiated 34 debates, introduced 4 Private Members Bills, and raised 109 Questions, bringing total tally to 147, throughout first session. Her attendance during Budget Session of 17th Lok Sabha summed up to a complete 100%.

Supriya Sule's Reign as Top Performer
Sule was also selected as best performing candidate in 16th Lok Sabha with booming stats. During 16th Lok Sabha, Sule asked 1,181 questions, moved 22 Private Member’s Bills, initiated 152 debates, and also registered a whopping 100 per cent attendance in monsoon sessions of 2016, 2017, and 2018, whereas aver attendance of MPs was 80%, according to stats by PRS.

Sule, a third-time MP, has also been a recipient of numerous accoles. She was awarded Saans Ratna Award in January this year and recently was also houred with Mumbai Women of Dece Achievers Award by All Lies League for her outstanding contribution to social service. She has held rallies and has been vocal against several issues like female foeticide, dowry system, and she strongly supports women empowerment. In order to give young girls an opportunity in politics, Rashtravi Yuvati Congress was formed under her leership in 2012.

Sule Wins Baramati Three Times in a Row
Supriya Sule contested and won her first election back in 2009 for Lok Sabha seat of Baramati constituency in Maharashtra. seat was preceded by her far and NCP leer Shar Pawar. She was re-elected in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and similarly bagged her third win a row in 2019 by defeating BJP rival, Kanchan R Kool, with a margin of over 160,000 votes.

Ahe of assembly elections in Maharashtra, NCP leer introduced a bill in Lok Sabha proposing Rs 2 crore ex-gratia, job quota, annual vacation for kin of martyrs from armed forces, and also promised to protect rights of LGBTQ community if NCP came to power in Maharashtra.
