TDP accuses YSRCP Ministers of reaping benefits of welfare scheme

On Friday, TDP leader K Pattabhi Ram accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP of benefiting from the 'Rythu Bharosa' welfare scheme.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) accused Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra Presh government of looting public money, on October 11. TDP leer K Pattabhi Ram claimed, Ministers and workers of ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) h benefited in process. He alleged that education minister Audimulapu Suresh was a beneficiary of ‘Rythu Bharosa’ welfare scheme. Contending that he did t qualify for scheme, Ram expressed his bewilderment on same.

He said, "For past few months we have been observing that public money is being looted and distributed to YSRCP party workers and leers by Jagan Mohan Reddy in name of implementing welfare schemes. In list of beneficiaries in 'Rythu Bharosa' scheme is name of education minister Audimulapu Suresh. This is very surprising! If you look at guidelines of scheme it clearly says a person owning more than 5 acres of land is t eligible, a person who is an income tax accesses is t eligible, and a person who h held a public office is t eligible. Minister qualifies on ne of se parameters.”

‘CM must give an explanation’ 

TDP leer castigated state government for distributing public money to workers and leers of YSRCP. He demanded an explanation in this regard from Andhra Presh CM.

" public money in name of welfare schemes is being distributed to YSRCP workers and party leers. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy must give an explanation," Ram opined.

One of YSRCP’s major election promises was ‘Rythu Bharosa’ scheme for welfare of farmers. It is scheduled to be launched on October 15. scheme is expected to benefit more than 53 lakh farmers including tenant farmers.
