Telangana Congress leader booked for sexual assault in Karnataka

A Telangana Congress leer has been booked for rape and sexual assault by Karnataka Police. According to FIR, Telangana Congress' Narayanpet district chief Kumbam Shivakumar Reddy is accused of raping a woman at a five-star hotel. FIR was lodged at Cubbon Park police station in Bengaluru.

complainant told police that accused called her to a five-star hotel and sexually assaulted her. Kumbam Shivakumar Reddy has been booked under sections 417, 420, 376, 506 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

This is not first time Congress leer has been booked for such a crime. Reddy faces a rape and cheating case according to an FIR lodged at Panjagutta police station in Hyderab.  

Kumbam Shivakumar Reddy contested 2018 assembly elections from Narayanpet. He lost polls.
