A Goverr should be from an apolitical background?
To back his claims, VJN Rao quoted guidelines of Sarkaria Commission report which was t followed in recent appointments by Centre. Rao wrote, " Sarkaria Commission in its report on October 1987, suggested that Goverr should be a person of some eminence in some field and should be a detached figure with little record of participation in local politics of State. He or she should be a person who has t taken too great a part in politics generally and particularly in recent past of his or her appointment. It is desirable that a politician from ruling party at Centre should t be me Goverr of a State-run by ar party. It should be ensured that re is effective consultation with Chief Minister of a State while appointing a Goverr in that State. ne of se is apparently followed."

BJP demands apology
BJP has heavily criticised article. Chief Spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao retorted, " article is completely baseless. body at his level, as a senior state government officer, can make such statements without having support from someone senior from behind. So we certainly doubt KCR's involvement in this. If he doesn't, n he has to come out in open, condemn this article which his CPRO has written and n he has to apologise to Goverr Soundararajan unconditionally. This is what BJP demands."
