Ideological differences resurface
Malviya's tweet puts Shiv Sena in a fix since Sena came to power in Maharashtra only after a post-poll alliance and compromise with Congress and NCP, thus forming Maha Vikas Aghi (MVA). However, NCP and Congress don't accept 'Hindutva' ideology and thus Sena leer Uddhav Thackeray will again be caught in an awkward situation, having alrey h to acquiesce to having word 'secular' placed at very top of alliance's Common Minimum Programme.
alliance has been under a lot of scrutiny because of ideological differences between parties and is alrey walking a tightrope, especially after Sena's flip-flops regarding Citizenship Amendment Act which was passed in Parliament this week.

Congress and NCP h downright opposed Bill, saying that it was unconstitutional and divided people on basis of religion. Shiv Sena, however, voted in support of Bill in Lok Sabha, whereas in Rajya Sabha, Sena MPs walked out of House just before voting took place.
