Union Min Kataria flays Rahul Gandhi over farm law criticism, reiterates PM's assurance

On Thursday, MoS Jal Shakti Rattan Lal Kataria slammed ex-Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his criticism of the Union government over the three farm laws.

On Thursday, MoS Jal Shakti Rattan Lal Kataria lashed out at ex-Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his criticism of Union government over three farm laws. He informed media that Gandhi's only nda was to malign Centre. Lamenting Wayan MP's remarks, Kataria mentioned that entire world is praising PM Modi's work. Moreover, he reiterated PM's assurance that Centre is willing to amend farm laws if any specific discrepancies are brought to its tice. Earlier in day, Gandhi created a flutter in Treasury benches by directly targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and two leing industrialists of India.

Rahul Gandhi misinterprets farm laws

Wayan MP Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Centre over three farm bills during discussion on Budget in Lower House. While refraining from commenting on Union Budget, Gandhi provided his interpretation of farm laws. Misinterpreting   Farmers' Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020 which aims at freeing  farmers from constraints of APMCs and allowing m to sell ir produce anywhere in India, Gandhi contended that it would le to  end of Mandi system. 

Regarding  Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020, Wayan MP said, " content of second law is that biggest industrialists can store any amount of grain, fruit and vegetables. re is limit. y can hoard as much as y want. content of second law is to finish Essential Commodities Act". Moreover, he quoted a Congress-era family planning slogan- 'Hum do, hamare do' to allege that only 4 persons are running country and reaping benefits from se laws.

Ex-Congress president Rahul Gandhi remarked, " content of third law is that when a farmer goes to biggest industrialist and demands right price for his grain, fruits and vegetables, n he will t be allowed to go to court. Many years ago, re was a slogan for family planning- 'Hum do, hamare do'. Like coronavirus comes in a different form, this slogan has come back in a different form. Today, this country is run by 4 people- 'Hum do, hamare do'. Everyone kws ir names."
