What seems to be a taunt aimed at Gandhi family, Shekhawat's comment comes against backdrop of Rahul Gandhi saying that BJP is attempting to dislodge elected Congress government in Rajasthan amid Coronavirus pandemic.

Even as Gandhi family is unable to solve internal tussle within Congress in Rajasthan despite Sonia Gandhi being at helm of affairs and her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vra's talks with Sachin Pilot, Wayan MP Rahul Gandhi has blamed BJP for crisis in Rajasthan. On Tuesday, he took to Twitter to criticise Centre by sharing a list of "achievements" of government during COVID-19 pandemic. Rahul Gandhi also broke silence on ongoing Rajasthan political crisis by alleging that BJP is trying to topple government in state.

Soon after, Union Minister Prakash Javekar slammed him and said that he has insulted people of India and brave Corona warriors by making fun of "candle lights". Information and Brocasting minister said India has least aver cases, active cases and death rate than US, Europe and Brazil.
