'...Universe of Corruption': BJP Demands Siddaramaiah's Resignation After MUDA Scam Verdict
The BJP also accused the grand-old party to stopping to "low-level politics to cover up their universe of corruption."

Bengaluru: BJP on Tuesday hailed Karnataka High Court's verdict upholding governor's prosecution nod against Congress leer and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in MUDA scam case, saying It welcomed court's decision.
Accusing CM Siddaramaiah of grabbing land meant for poor, BJP demanded his immediate resignation from top pots.

In a post of X, BJP wrote, “It is welcome that High Court has given permission for prosecution against CM @siddaramaiah who h illegally grabbed Dalits' land and me sites that should have belonged to poor in his name.”

“Congress leers resorted to low-level politics over dignified governors to cover up ir universe of corruption. But court upheld Governor's move and reiterated that corruption has no place in India,” Karnataka BJP tweeted in Kanna.
“If Siddaramaiah has any respect for law of this land, for constitution, for court, he should not continue his corruption and bow down to court's decision and resign from post of CM immediately,” tweet furr re.

Reacting to Court verdict, state BJP President BY Vijayendra said "BJP has been relentlessly fighting against corrupt Congress government." He criticised Congress for accusing BJP of hatching a political conspiracy in state.
" BJP has been relentlessly fighting against corrupt Congress government...But y said that BJP is doing a political conspiracy against us... HC in its judgement has clearly said that decision taken by Governor is correct. Accepting this decision CM should resign immediately..." Vijayendra said.

‘Resign Immediately on Moral Grounds’
Meanwhile, BJP MP Jagish Shettar asked CM to resign on moral grounds. Calling verdict a landmark decision, Shettar said, "..Now impartial investigation has to be started after filing FIR against CM. When his name is involved, his wife's name is re, I insist CM to resign immediately on moral grounds. He has to allow an impartial investigation of MUDA scam...It is a landmark decision and it has been pronounced by High Court as per legal purview."
‘Law is Same for Everyone’: BJP 's CT Ravi
BJP leer CT Ravi suggested CM to resign to save “your dignity...”. Ravi said, "We welcome this. Law is same for everyone. Is re a separate law for Siddaramaiah? This does not happen in this country. Constitution is same for everyone. Corruption has taken place...He should resign...Is corruption politically motivated? Did we tell him to do corruption?... Did Opposition tell him to do that? We didn't tell him to do that...y did that and now y are accusing BJP. I would like to give m one suggestion, resign to save your dignity..."
While Union Minister Pralh Joshi said that BJP has no desire of toppling Karnataka government and called for an impartial probe by CBI into alleged scam.
Joshi said, "It is a slap on Congress government and CM Siddaramaiah. Karnataka High Court has answered all questions that were raised. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah should resign and an impartial investigation should be conducted by CBI... BJP has no desire of toppling Karnataka government..."
Karnataka High Court Dismisses Siddaramaiah's Plea
In a major setback for Siddaramaiah, Karnataka HC on Tuesday dismissed his petition challenging Governor's nod for investigation against him in a site allotment case. CM h challenged approval given by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot for an investigation against him in alleged irregularities in allotment of 14 sites to his wife by Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) in a prime locality. verdict was pronounced by a single judge bench of Justice M Nagaprasanna.
High Alert in Bengaluru, Protests Expected
A high alert has been across state, including Bengaluru and officials have been asked to remain on high alert at all places. Senior officers have instructed all Commissionerates and SPs, DCPs of all districts, as per DGP Alok Mohan and GP Law and Order.
Police have been asked to remain on alert in East, West, North, South, South-East, North-East and Whitefield divisions and Hoysala vehicle patrolling is to be increased. Instructions have been given to increase security in sensitive areas as protest is anticipated in wake of court's ruling.
