Punjab CM Amarinder ridicules 'Greedy SAD' for quitting NDA; sees 'bigger political mess'
Reacting to SAD exiting NDA, Punjab CM said that Akali Dal was "left with no choice" after BJP exposed that its ally was fully party to Anti-Farmer legislations

Shiromani Akali Dal on Saturday quit National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over farm bills issue, amid agitation by farmers in Punjab over three legislations which were recently passed by Parliament amid Opposition protests. Reacting to development, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh said that Akali Dal was "left with choice" after BJP exposed that Sukhbir Singh Bal and his party were "fully party to Anti-Farmer legislations".

Punjab CM ridiculed 'Greedy S' for clinging to power even after BJP's criticism of Akalis on Farm Bills, and took a jibe at Sukhbir Bal's 'atomic bomb' remark on Harsimrat Kaur's resignation from Modi cabinet, saying that 'it wasn't even a damp squib or a firecracker'.

Amarinder Singh said re was moral high ground involved in decision of Shiromani Akali Dal. " Akalis h choice before m since BJP h alrey me it clear that it held S responsible for failing to convince farmers about goodness of agriculture bills," he said.
" S decision to quit NDA was just culmination of ir saga of lies and deception, which eventually led to party being cornered on issue of farm bills. S chief Sukhbir Singh Bal was virtually caught between devil and deep sea after his initial unprincipled stand on farm ordinances, followed by sudden U-turn in face of farmer protests," Punjab CM ded.
Captain Amarinder Singh said that but far from helping m save face, which y probably hoped to do, " Akalis will w find mselves in a bigger political mess w", having been left with place eir in Punjab or at Centre. Amarinder Singh said if Sukhbir Bal, Harsimrat Bal and or S leers h any shame left, y should mit to ir deceitful actions as part of Union government and beg farmers for forgiveness.

Akali Dal exits NDA
dressing media on Friday regarding decision to quit NDA, S chief said that party will continue to stand by its core principles of "peace, communal harmony and guarding interest of Punjab, Punjabis in general and Sikhs and farmers in particular". He said decision has been taken in consultation with people of Punjab, especially party workers and farmers.

Bal said that bills on agricultural marketing brought by BJP-led government were "lethal and disastrous" for alrey beleaguered farmers. He said S was oldest ally of BJP but government "did t listen to it on houring sentiments of farmers".

Farmers' Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 were passed by Parliament on Sunday. A third bill relating to amendment in Essential Commodities Act has also been passed by Parliament. Centre has said that bills provide farmers with freedom to sell ir produce everywhere.
