Goverr of West Bengal has been a vocal critic of Mamata Banerjee-led state government which has often been opposing policies of Central government. Mamata Banerjee has been vociferous opposition of BJP, amended Citizenship Act and upcoming National Register of Citizens (NRC). Time and again Banerjee has reiterated that she will t let CAA and NRC be implemented in West Bengal.

Goverr has slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her opposition to Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). According to him, "Mamata Banerjee is more on streets rar than her seat." tussle between Goverr and Mamata Banerjee-led government has been ongoing since absence of pleasantries between him and Banerjee in Assembly.

Speaking over violent protests which prevailed across nation against Citizen Amendment Act, West Bengal's Goverr Jagdeep Dhankar asserted that state must re-establish itself as a center-point for cultural herit of country and work towards restoring peace this New Year. West Bengal Goverr urged people to work for betterment of state.

Mamata Banerjee h refused to attend an all-party meeting called by West Bengal goverr on Friday. Chief Minister’s Office informed Goverr’s Secretariat it was on account of preoccupations on Friday and said that it was t possible for Banerjee to attend meeting.
