Won't allow parliament to function if government doesn't bring bill on Ram temple: Shiv Sena MP

BJP's ally the Shiv Sena on Monday, December 10 said it would not allow Parliament to function during the winter session, starting on Tuesday, December 11 if the government does not bring a bill for the construction of Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya

BJP's ally Shiv Sena on Monday, December 10 said it would t allow Parliament to function during winter session, starting on Tuesday, December 11 if government does t bring a bill for construction of Ram temple at disputed site in Ayodhya.

Shiv Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire said that he me se remarks at all-party meeting called by government before commencement of winter session. meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

" Shiv Sena has been demanding that government brings a bill in Parliament for construction of Ram temple. If government does t do so in winter session, starting tomorrow, our party would t allow Parliament to function," Khare said after meeting.

Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narendra Singh Tomar skirted questions on wher government would bring a bill for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, saying that was t nda of all-party meet.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, during his visit to Ayodhya last month, h said BJP government at Centre "may t last" if temple was t built in Ayodhya and h demanded that an ordinance be brought for purpose.

Thackeray h said BJP manifesto for 2014 general elections stated that possible solutions to Ram temple issue would be searched while remaining within ambit of constitution.
