Samajwi Party chief Akhilesh Yav on Tuesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of failing to consider grievances of migrant labourers in his nationwide dress on new financial pack.
Yav claimed 'insensitiveness' of PM Modi against labourers' woes and said that poor labourers of country were hoping for a solution to ir problems however all y got to hear is a meaningless speech, despite Prime Minister anuncing a Rs 20 lakh crore pack, contours of which will be spelled out by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday. Claiming situation of poor in country as 'unfortunate' he furr said that Prime minister in his speech failed to ackwledge workers wandering on streets.

Taking to Twitter, SP chief said: " poor labourers of country were hoping for solutions to ir problems, but all y got to hear was a meaningless speech. Was re even a word of condolence for workers wandering streets for more than half an hour? Let everyone think. Insensitive-Unfortunate!"

opposition supports PM's anuncement
Despite Akhilesh Yav's criticism many of opposition leers came out in support of Prime Ministers anuncement of financial pack. Congress party on Tuesday offered a guarded welcome to PM Modi's anuncement of a financial pack worth Rs.20 lakh crore. While Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala claimed that PM h failed to dress woes of migrant workers, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot lauded pack reserving furr comment until emergence of details in public domain. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel contended that ecomic pack should have been unveiled earlier. He too demanded more clarity on components of pack. Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi opined that relief pack should account for an ditional 10% of GDP apart from earlier COVID-19 measures implemented by Centre.

PM anunces massive financial pack
In his dress to nation on Tuesday, PM Modi stated that new financial pack was worth 10% of India's GDP. However, details of pack shall be anunced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday, May 13. PM Modi mentioned that this would benefit workers, hawkers, street vendors, farmers, business class, etc. Prime Minister ded that special emphasis has been paid to land, labour, liquidity, and laws.

ditionally, PM Modi appealed to citizens to be 'vocal for local' in an attempt to boost Indian businesses. He elaborated that this t only involved buying local products but also promoting m with pride. PM Modi exuded confidence that country shall follow this mantra.
