YSRCP refutes house-arrested Naidu's 'vendetta' claim, cites AP Police

Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP has cited AP DG of Police to brush aside Naidu's vendetta claim. AP Police has said that Naidu and his son are in preventive custody

Hours after former Andhra Presh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son was placed under house arrest, YSRCP quoted Andhra Presh Director General of Police who has said that y have been put into preventive custody. Informing about development, Director General of Police Damodar Goutam Sawang told that Opposition leer of Andhra Presh Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his far is taken into preventive custody. reason given by DGP was that ir actions are increasing tensions and creating disturbance to law and order in Palnu region of Guntur district. This has been quoted by Jagan Mohan Reddy's party. Soon after both were placed under house arrest, it was speculated as a step by YS  Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra government against Opposition.

Chandrababu Naidu alleges human rights violation

Claiming political vendetta, Nara Chnrababu Naidu said that teh state govt under Andhra Chif Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to obstruct ir protests. Spekaing to district and state level leers via teleconference on Wednesday, he said that his cre will take up a 12-hour long hunger strike along with former CM Chandrababu Naidu. Tweeting that protests will continue, Naidu said that he has never seen regime as 'fascist' as that of Jagan Mohan Reddy's. He also commented that organizing ‘Chalo Atmakur’ protest rally was his fundamental right. he claimed Jagan Mohan Reddy was violating human rights.  TDP chief alleged that state government h arrested his party’s cre and put m in prison, because of fear of ‘Chalo Atamakur’ protest.

Section 144 of CrPC imposed by state Police

Chandrababu Naidu called for a rally at Atmakur, alleging that hundreds of families have been forced to flee from ir vills due to frequent attacks by Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Congress Party workers. TDP leers and workers who were trying to visit Naidu at his residence were stopped by police and were taken into preventive custody, in early hours of Wednesday, September 11. According to police, TDP did t receive any permission to conduct  rally. state police h alrey imposed Section 144 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in Palanu, Narasaraopeta, Sattenapalle and Gurajala.

TDP supremo h anunced ‘Chalo Atmakur’ rally against YSRCP regime in Andhra Presh on September 11. objective of rally as anunced by TDP was to save democracy and safeguard human rights in region. YSRCP has been accused of indulging in political violence and allegedly killing as many as eight TDP party workers and attacking many more. TDP believes that attacks have particularly increased in  Palnu region of state. As part of protest, Naidu h asked his party cres to march from party's hequarters in Guntur to Atmakur vill in  Palnu region.

Naidu versus Jagan

Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP decimated Chandrababu Naidu's TDP in assembly polls as well as general elections earlier this year. While former won 151 of 175 assembly seats, it won 22 of 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Presh. Reddy, 46, is son of YS Rajashekhara Reddy, one of state's most popular Chief Ministers who died in a controversial chopper crash in 2009. After coming to power, Reddy has been alleged to use 'vendetta' against Naidu, including demolition of Niu's residence at banks of River Krishna in Amravati.
