Political leaders have wished citizens on auspicious occasion of Ram Navami on Saturday. On spring festival celebrating  birth of Lord Ram, many Ram devotees visit temples, while many worship miniature idols of infant Rama which are bad and clod, before being placed in a cradle. ceremony is often accompanied by Ram Katha recitals (stories of Ram), or a devotional discourse.
