Prince Charles to visit India on a two-day visit from November 13

The heir to the British throne, Prince Charles, will be making an official two-day visit to India starting from November 13. According to the Prince's Clarence House office, during his visit to India, he will be focusing on sustainable markets, climate change, and social finance. Further, the 70-year-old heir will arrive in New Delhi for the two-day visit. Reports stated that more details about the visit, made at the request of the Foreign Office based on the government's priorities, will be announced in due course. The announcement also comes a week after his son William and daughter-in-law Kate completed a four-day trip to Pakistan.

According to reports, this visit will be Charles's 10th official visit to India. His last visit was a joint tour with his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, to Brunei, India, Singapore and Malaysia in November 2017. Further reports stated that Britain has been looking forward to securing a trade deal with India after leaving the European Union (EU).

Prince Charles's previous tour to India in 2017

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, accompanied by his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall, visited India on November 29 in 2017 during their 10-day four-nation tour that also took them to Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei. According to reports, the Prince met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit and discussed a wide range of issues, including the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that took place in April 2018 in the United Kingdom (UK).

Prince William and Kate Middleton's visit to Pakistan

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton visited Pakistan on November 14 on a five-day visit. This was the first royal trip to the country in more than a decade and the first for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The royal couple was welcomed by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his wife after their airplane landed at the Nur Khan Airbase near the capital. British High Commissioner in Pakistan Thomas Drew was also present on the occasion. The five-day visit ended on October 18. Further, the visit was organised at the request of the United Kingdom's (UK) Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
