Priyanka Chopra salutes the Indian Armed Forces after IAF's blitz of Pakistan's terror bases, here's her message

Social media is flooded with posts after India carried out 'pre-emptive, non-military' air strikes on a Jaish-e-Mohammed camp across the Line of Control. Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said: " 12 Mirage 2000 jets, targeted the Jaish-e-Mohammed's largest camp - the Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for the terror attack in Pulwama two weeks ago which killed 40 CRPF soldiers."

"Credible intelligence was received that Jaish-e-Mohammed was attempting another suicide terror attack in various parts of the country and fidayeen jihadis (suicide bombers) were being trained for this purpose," Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said on Tuesday.

Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in Delhi, tweeted praising to praise the IAF air strike. She wrote: "Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces [sic]"

In the days following the attack, the Indian government, including the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, have made clear that the Armed Forces had been given a free rein to avenge the attack.  As per media reports, six bombs were dropped on the terrorist camps by the Indian Air Force Mirage 2000s.

As reported by ANI, the intel sources have said that an ammunition dump was blown up in Balakot, Pakistan by IAF Mirages. The dump had more than 200 AK rifles, uncountable rounds hand grenades, explosives and detonators.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a public rally in Churu, Rajasthan said: "Today is a day to pay homage to India's bravehearts. I want to assure you that the country is in safe hands.”

"India has given proof many times seeking action against Jaish-e-Mohammed and others at terror camps so big, that they can train hundreds of jihadis and terrorists at any given time. But due to Pakistan's inaction, this step was necessary and had to be taken," Foreign secretary Vijay Gokhale said.

But Pakistan had a completely different response to the attack. "Indian aircrafts' intrusion across LOC in Muzaffarabad Sector... was 3-4 miles. Under forced hasty withdrawal aircrafts released payload which had free fall in open area. No infrastructure got hit, no casualties," Major General Asif Ghafoor of the Inter-Services Public Relations tweeted on Tuesday morning.
