'Protests show democracy is not down': Salman Khurshid hails anti-CAA agitation
Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Thursday hailed protesters agitating against the CAA saying the agitation shows that democracy is not down in India.

" people have understood morale of this (anti-CAA agitation). This is inspiring that people are really worried about this and are putting ir views in front of government. Ultimately Supreme Court has to decide. It shows that democracy is t down and people are raising voices in falling democratic situation. This will boost morale," he said.
senior Supreme Court vocate has been vocal in his opposition to CAA and NRC. Salman Khurshid also said that those states who have vowed t to implement CAA and any subsequent NRC sends a strong mess. "I feel those states opposing this will send a strong mess. We have to bear some pain while walking on path of truth."

Earlier, during violence and police action in Jamia Millia Islamia University campus Sunday night, Salman Khurshid h urged for restraint by Delhi Police. Asking Police to 'hold itself back', Congress leer condemned violence that was unleashed in national capital. Moreover, he asked Delhi Police to eng in dialogue with protesters.
