'Pulwama terror attack not an intelligence failure', says Ministry of Home affairs answering questions raised by Congress in the Rajya Sabha
As the session of Rajya Sabha is on, Syed Nasir Hussain, Congress MP from Rajya Sabha in the question hour asked if Pulwama terror attack in which 40 BSF jawans were martyred is a result of intelligence failure.

As session of Rajya Sabha is on, Syed Nasir Hussain, Congress MP from Rajya Sabha in question hour asked if Pulwama terror attack in which 40 jawans were martyred is a result of intelligence failure. Marked as unstarred question, Hussain asked ministry of home affairs if intelleigence failure was one of reasons for attack. He also asked that if it was t intelligence failure n how bomber car joined highway from a slip ro even as it contained 300 kg of explosives.
Answering to questions, G Kishan Reddy, MoS ministry of home affairs categorically said that intelligence failure was t case.
Elucidating his answer, he said on behalf of Home ministry:
"Jammu and Kashmir are affected by terrorism sponsored and supported from across border for last three deces. However, owing to policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and sustained action against terrorists have been neutralised during past few years. All ncies are working in a coordinated manner and intelligence inputs are shared among various ncies on a real-time basis. investigation by NIA into Pulwama attack so far has resulted in identifying conspirators, suicide attacker and vehicle provider.
Earlier, in a big win for India's security forces, one of main conspirators of dastardly Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF Jawans were martyred has been neutralised during an encounter in Tral.

Piecing toger remnants of vehicle recovered from scene of blast, NIA investigators, with support of forensic and automobile experts, identified vehicle in which JeM suicide bomber attacked CRPF convoy, as a Maruti Eeco having chassis number MA3ERLF1SOO183735 and engine number G12BN164140.

vehicle was sold to Mohammed Jaleel Ahmed Haqani, a resident of Heaven Colony in Anantnag in 2011, and subsequently it changed hands seven times and finally reached Sajj Bhat, a student of Siraj-ul-Uloom, Shopian. vehicle was purchased by Sajj Bhat on February 4, as per reports.
Earlier on March 11, one of main conspirators of dastardly Pulwama terror attack was neutralised during an encounter in Tral. It was a massive win for country as Mudasir Khan who was one of chief perpetrators of dastardly attack on CRPF jawans was gunned down by forces.
