Punjab Police distributes free milk & food packets to underprivileged amid lockdown
The Punjab Police on Wednesday distributed free food packets and other essential commodities to the needy in Amritsar amid the 21-day lockdown imposed.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi anunced a complete lockdown in country till April 14 amid COVID-19 pandemic, Punjab Police on Wednesday distributed free food packets and or essential commodities to needy in Amritsar. cops distributed packets of milk, sugar and some or food items to poor living in slum areas.
Earlier in day, I&B Union Minister Prakash Javdekar also anunced Centre's efforts to provide cheap ration for underprivileged. Speaking to news ncy, SHO Neeraj Kumar stated that most of people are w ordering food and or things online but poor people have been locked up in ir houses for past three days. Hence, police decided to distribute milk and food packets, he ded.

Prakash Javekar anunces Centre's scheme for underprivileged
Union Minister of Information and Brocasting Prakash Javekar on Wednesday anunced Central Government's schemes for underprivileged amid pandemic. In an dress to media, I&B minister stated that Centre will provide 80 crore people every month with 7 kg ration per person at just Rs 2 which actually costs Rs 27. He ded that Centre will invest Rs 1800 crores to provide ration for 80 crore people.

PM Modi anunces 21-day pan-India lockdown
Amid rising Coronavirus cases in India, PM Modi on Tuesday anunced a 21-day curfew throughout India starting at midnight on Tuesday. He said that 21 days were necessary for breaking transmission cycle of pandemic. 21-day curfew is applicable to all states, districts, and vills - irrespective of wher y are currently under curfew or t. Currently, India's positive cases stand over 520, with ten deaths.

"From midnight 12 across country, re will be countrywide lockdown in India. Complete restriction of leaving out from residence. All districts, vills will be locked down. This is curfew only -a stricter curfew than Janta curfew. We have to bear ecomic consequences because of this. But to save every Indian's life at this time is my and government's responsibility," said PM Modi.
