BSF recovers contraband, suspected to be heroin, from Punjab’s Fazilka

The package recovered by BSF on December 21 was reportedly dropped by a drone from Pakistan which intruded into Indian airspace

Fazilka, Punjab: On December 21, Thursday, BSF personnel seized 530 gm of contraband wrapped with yellow adhesive tape with a ring attached to it, from Pakka Chisti village in district Fazilka of Punjab. Vigilant BSF troops intercepted a suspected drone based on intelligence inputs and immediately reacted to the crisis.

The package was reportedly dropped by a drone from Pakistan which intruded into Indian airspace. During the initial search, around 9.33 pm, BSF troops recovered one packet wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a ring attached to it. The contraband item is suspected to be heroin (gross weight appx 530 gm) from the farming field near village Pakka Chisti.
