Gandhi campaigned in Lok Sabha polls as well as assembly elections underway in Maharashtra and Jharkhand by showing a copy of Constitution to tell voters that BJP wanted to change apex document and do away with reservations in jobs and education.

"We have to prevent appeasement and vote bank politics. Congress wants to give reservations to minorities after taking away quota meant for SCs, STs and OBCs in Telangana and Karnataka. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has never discriminated against anyone," Nda asserted.

Before 2014, under Congress-led UPA, world equated India and Pakistan and a visit to country was followed by halts at Lahore or Rawalpindi in neighbouring country, Nda pointed out.

"Now y don't do that. diplomatic terminology has changed," he said.

government has spent Rs 12 lakh crore on infrastructure in state, which has resulted in construction of several elevated ros, underpasses, metro rail lines etc, and even banking system is in profit, Nda said.

" toys and automobile markets have got a boost. India is world's pharmacy giving affordable medicines to countries. During COVID lockdown, 30 crore free vaccine doses were given to 48 countries. While earlier we took years to make vaccines, Modi government did it in fastest time during pandemic," health minister said.

In Maharashtra, Maha Vikas Aghi (MVA), when in power between November 2019 and June 2022, stalled key projects like Dharavi redevelopment, coastal ro, metro rail lines, he said.

Nda called on voters of Maharashtra to reject opposition alliance and ensure y are "me to sit at home forever" after elections as he accused m of working against pro-people schemes such as "Lli Behna Yojana." He emphasized transformative development under "double-engine" (BJP and its allies in power at Centre and in a state) government led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, while accusing opposition of hindering progress.

" opposition alliance only brings backwardness and division. ir politics is based on appeasement and nepotism, which Prime Minister Modi has replaced it with development-driven governance," Nda said.

Nda underscored efforts to empower every section of society, ensuring food security, infrastructural expansion, and economic growth.

" double-engine government has ensured that development reaches every corner of Maharashtra. We are committed to inclusive growth and empowering even most marginalized," BJP president maintained.

Nda accused MVA of prioritizing personal interests over state's development and resorting to legal challenges to stall initiatives of ruling Mahayuti.

" MVA's politics is about stopping progress, not enabling it. y stalled projects, went to court against welfare schemes, and now, y are trying to misle people again. time has come to end ir regressive politics," he noted.

Speaking at a campaign meeting at Nashik later in day, Nda termed Congress as "illiterate", and accused it of questioning India's capabilities.

Opposition party criticised indigenous vaccine developed during COVID-19 pandemic, he said.

He also said that around six crore people in Maharashtra benefitted from free ration provided by Modi government.

MVA government reversed state's progress and indulged in only appeasement politics, Union minister claimed.
