'Rahul's Remarks Are Anti-National, His Passport Should Be Cancelled': BJP MP Writes To Om Birla
Rahul statements on foreign soil are not correct in any way as a responsible Indian citizen. His statements are not political but purely anti-national.
BJP MP and former state president CP Joshi has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding to cancel the passport of Rahul Gandhi saying statements made by him during his foreign trips are not political but purely fall anti-national activities and added this is making his conduct suspicious.
Rahul Gandhi 's statements on foreign soil are not correct in any way as a responsible Indian citizen. His statements are not political but purely fall under the category of anti-national activities which makes his conduct suspicious.
Rahul's statements can affect the internal stability of the country and the security of the borders as well as international relations because he is misusing the position of the Leader of Opposition.
“In the context of India, before making statements on foreign soil, the leader of the opposition is expected to keep some basic facts in mind but Rahul, out of selfishness or under the influence of foreign powers, put the country's interest at stake, many examples of this were seen in his last visit to America which proves that Rahul's intention is to harm the stability in the country and India's image on the international platform,” the BJP MP said.
“Making a statement about the Sikh community, which has suffered the brunt of terrorism for decades, that in India they are not allowed to wear their turban and other sacred identities is the worst example. It is clear that he wants to strengthen the agenda of Khalistani separatists in Canada and America,” he added.
“As the leader of the Opposition, Rahul is running a campaign against the industrialists of his country by taking their names. Is there even one such example in the whole world when a leader of the ruling party or the opposition is seen going to another country and making statements against the industrialists of his country? What is the intention behind this statement of Rahul?”
“Not only this, foreign companies which baselessly target Indian companies and have also caused economic losses on a large scale, Rahul holds meetings with people associated with those companies or institutions. Will this not be considered an attempt to harm the country's economy?”
“Rahul presents a distorted picture of the Indian society by trying to divide it,” the BJP said.
“India- bangladesh relations are going through a sensitive phase in recent times and during this time, when he was asked questions about the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, the journalist was mistreated. While the Indian government has raised this issue with Bangladesh in the past, it is clear that Rahul is following a fixed agenda which is contrary to the international policies of the Indian government,” CP said.
“Such baseless statements which tarnish the image of the country cannot be seen under the ambit of freedom of expression, in such a situation it becomes necessary that Rahul should resign from such an important post as the leader of the opposition,” CP Joshi added.
“Also, if he wants to remain on the post of Leader of the Opposition despite these things, then his passport should be cancelled so that in future he cannot use foreign soil to run anti-india campaigns or agendas, which can be a serious threat to the peace and harmony within the country and foreign policy,” CP Joshi demanded.
