Congress leer Rahul Gandhi on Thursday wrote to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan after death of a schoolgirl who h sustained a snakebite in her classroom. Gandhi, in his letter, stated school's "crumbled infrastructure" needs urgent attention of state government. In his letter he said, "One of oldest high schools in Sulthan Bary, Sarvajana Higher Secondary School's crumbling infrastructure requires urgent attention of state government. absence of a conducive learning environment demoralises students and parents alike." A 10-year-old girl died after she was bitten by a snake inside her classroom at Sultan Bary in Wayan district on Thursday.

Kerala Minister orders enquiry
Kerala Education Minister C Raveendranath on Thursday ordered an enquiry into death. Meanwhile, Primary Teacher Sajil CV of Bary Government Sarvajana Vocational Higher Secondary School has been suspended pending an enquiry by Deputy Director of Education Wayan. According to reports, deceased's classmate alleged that teacher continued to take class, despite snake biting girl. classmate furr alleged that teacher said that child's far will take her to hospital. However, by that time girl's leg h turned blue, stated reports.

About incident
According to reports, a Class-V student died after a snake bit her in her classroom in Wayan district, of which Rahul Gandhi is MP. deceased has been identified as Shahla Sherin (10). Reports stated that snake was hiding inside a burrow of classroom wall. Furr reports stated that a case has been registered regarding matter. Furr, Wayan district collector, eela Abdulla termed incident as "most unfortunate" and stated that action will be taken against those responsible. According to reports, ditional district magistrate has been asked to visit school for inspection.
