NEW DELHI: Moderate to Heavy rain swept across several parts of Delhi on Wednesday, providing much-needed relief from the humidity. The rain extended beyond Delhi, with parts of Gurgaon and Noida also experiencing heavy showers and gusty winds.
The showers brought cooler temperatures across the capital, much to the delight of residents who had been struggling with the humidity.
However, the heavy rainfall also brought its own set of challenges, as both Delhi and Gurgaon grappled with waterlogging and road blockages, disrupting daily life in several areas.
This marks the fourth significant spell of rain this season in Delhi, with all parts of the city receiving substantial rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had forecasted the showers earlier this week, predicting a wet spell for the capital. As rain continues in Delhi, it is anticipated that Noida will also soon see a similar downpour.
On Monday, various areas across Delhi, including India Gate, Janpath Road, RK Puram, Kalindikunj, and Gandhinagar, witnessed light showers, signaling the start of this current rainy period.
