"y have resorted to very low level politics. SPG cover was given under act of Parliament. It is for protecting lives, what or gain is re from it? kind of politics y are doing shows ir mental bankruptcy. Prime minister should intervene if home minister has taken decision on his own level," Gehlot told reporters here. "If this was in kwledge of prime minister, n this is misfortune of country," he said.
Gehlot condemned decision to withdraw SPG cover given to family of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated by LTTE terrorists on May 21, 1991. Gandhis will be without SPG protection after 28 years. y were included in VVIP security list following an amendment in September 1991 in SPG Act of 1988.
