Rajasthan CM Sharma Accuses Congress of Being Anti-Dalit and Driven by Appeasement

Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma accused Congress of being anti-Dalit, claiming atrocities against the community peaked during its rule, at a rally in Alwar.

Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday accused Congress of being anti-Dalit, claiming that atrocities against community were highest during its rule. He me those remarks during a election rally in Rajasthan's Alwar district. 

Bypoll elections are to be held on vember 13, CM Sharma was in a rally in Ramgarh constituency of Alwar, Rajasthan.

" Congress has always been anti-Dalit. It always talks about appeasement. Does Prime Minister Narendra Modi look at caste and religion when he gives Samman Nidhi? But spirit of appeasement has been embedded in Congress' conscience since 1947," he said.

He also alleged that smuggling of cows were common during Congress government.

"y ran bulldozers on cowsheds and removed idols, including Shivlings, using a drill in Alwar. A 15-year-old girl with speech and hearing disabilities was molested and dumped on a flyover in Alwar. When BJP me it an issue and accused started getting identified, Congress government called it an accident," Sharma ded.

He furr alleged that when a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry was ordered, police cleaned flyover to eliminate evidence.

Sharma also claimed that his government, which took charge last December, worked to deliver on promises me during elections.

CM Sharma also alleged that Congress h cheated youth by leaking question papers of competitive examinations.

Earlier, during a roshow in Dausa in support of BJP candidate Jagmohan Meena, Sharma highlighted that BJP-led state government h implemented welfare schemes for youth, farmers, women, and working class, dressing every point of its manifesto.

He said Delhi-Mumbai corridor passing through Dausa would change fate of district and Rajasthan and write a new chapter of development.

chief minister also gave an account of progress of Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) and impact it would have on farmers.

He said he hailed from a farmer family and understood farmers' pain and suffering.

"To find a permanent solution to ir problem of drinking water and irrigation, we have signed an agreement related to very important ERCP for districts in eastern Rajasthan, including Dausa. foundation stone of project will be laid next month," Sharma said.

Once this project takes shape, re will be short of water for drinking and irrigation, he claimed.

Bypolls will be held in Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Deoli-Uniara, Khinvsar, Chaurasi, Salumbar and Ramgarh assembly constituencies on vember 13 and results declared on vember 23.
