8 Children Among 12 Killed as Bus Collides With Tempo in Rajasthan's Dholpur

Jaipur: 12 people, including 8 children lost their lives in a tragic accident in Dholpur, Rajasthan , when a bus collided with a rickshaw tempo near Sunipur village on NH 11B.
The victims were returning from a wedding program in Barauli village when the accident occurred.
Among the deceased were five children, three girls, two women, and one man. The tempo passengers were residents of Gumat Mohalla in Bari city.
Police have placed all the bodies in the mortuary at Bari Hospital.
Bari Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Shiv Lahari Meena stated that the family from the Karim Colony Gumat Mohalla of the Bari City was on their way back home after attending a 'bhaat' programme at a relative's house in the Barauli village.
"At around 11 pm, a sleeper coach bus hit a tempo they were travelling in on the highway near the Sunipur village, killing 11 and injuring three. The post-mortem will be conducted on Sunday. We have taken the tempo and bus into our custody," he said. The SHO also said that an investigation is underway to ascertain the cause behind the death.
PM Modi Expresses Condolences
"The accident in Dholpur, Rajasthan is heartbreaking. My condolences to the bereaved families of those who lost their lives including innocent children. May god give them the strength to bear this pain. Along with this, I wish for the speedy recovery of all the injured. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in all possible help to the victims", said PM Narendra Modi on X.
