Rajasthan police reportedly detained a man on charges of ft after he was nabbed with exclusive copy of 15th Century Quran from Mughal era. man, identified as Banwari Meena, was reportedly confirmed by police as gang leer who h fled with Quran with intentions of selling it.
He h alrey struck a deal, told a police officer, and was going to sell it to a Bangleshi family for Rs 16 crore. He was caught after police traced one of gang members and arrested him, officer ded.

Police said that copy h script inscribed in gold, precisely why it was stolen. copy is said to have been donated by Mughal emperor Akbar to one of prominent families in Mandalgarh, a city in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan from where it was being smuggled.

Rajiv Pachar, Deputy Commissioner of Jaipur rth Police told media that a man named Yogendra Singh Mehta, a resident of Bhilwara district, brought matter to Rajasthan Police’s attention after he filed a formal complaint about robbery of valuable Quran. complainant claimed that book was passed on to his ancestors and it h gone missing.

According to reports, police received discreet information from an auntic source that a man was spotted striking a deal to sell a copy of Quran that seemed exclusive. police immediately sprang to action and formed a special investigation team to carry out operation.
