Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday addressed inaugural session of Air Force Commander’s Conference. He said that IAF’s role in some of most challenging circumstances is well regarded by nation. "ir contribution during nation’s response to COVID-19 pandemic has been highly praiseworthy," Defence Minister said in a tweet.  3-day conference is being chaired by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria.

commanders are expected to specifically deliberate on deployment of first batch of around six Rafale fighter jets which are expected to join IAF's fighter fleet later this month, sources said.

main focus of commanders' conference will be to deliberate on overall situation in eastern Ladakh and on ways to enhance IAF's combat prowess and surveillance over country's air in all sensitive sectors including in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Uttarakhand, PTI quoted military sources as saying.
