Megastar Rajinikanth spoke to media on Sunday on occasion of Diwali; in his statement star expressed his concerns for two-year-old Sujith Wilson who fell into a borewell on Friday.
'I also pray wholeheartedly for safe return of Sujith'
"I extend my Diwali wishes to all. I also pray wholeheartedly for safe return of Sujith who is stuck. Though various machines are trying to rescue him, I think precautionary measures should have been taken," he said.
Rajinikanth's daughter, Soundarya Rajnikanth, also expressed concern for little boy on social media.

Two-year-old falls into borewell
two-year-old boy, identified as Sujith Wilson, fell into a 25-feet deep borewell in Nadukattupati, Tamil Nadu's Tiruchirappalli district on Friday. Rescue teams rushed to spot after receiving information and created a tunnel to reach Sujith. However, Sujith slipped deeper into borewell to around 70 feet mark during rescue operations. Sujith fell while playing outside his house on Friday. incident came to light when his parents ticed Sujith is t around and went looking for him. According to latest reports, rescue operations furr hit a setback unfortunately, boy is w stuck at 90-feet down borewell.
Rescue operations underway
Specialised teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) joined rescue operations. State Health and Family Welfare Minister C Vijayabaskar, who has been camping at site since Friday night, said that all efforts were on to save child. Oxygen is being continuously supplied to boy. According to officials, six teams were involved in rescue operationsMeanwhile, authorities have ordered that all open bore wells in district be closed.
