Planned Ayodhya Ram Mandir foundation infeasible because of Sarayu stream below, IITs approached

The Ram temple trust in Ayodhya has asked the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to suggest better models for the foundation of the temple as a stream of the Sarayu river has been found below it, sources said on Tuesday.

Ram temple trust in Ayodhya has asked Indian Institutes of Techlogy (IITs) to suggest better models for foundation of temple as a stream of Sarayu river has been found below it, sources said on Tuesday.

construction committee of temple, chaired by former principal secretary to prime minister Nripendra Misra held deliberations over matter here on Tuesday, y said.

During deliberations, it was realized that existing model for foundation of temple was t feasible as a stream of Sarayu river is flowing below temple, a source said.

Sources in 'Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teertha Kshetra' trust said IITs have been requested to suggest better models for a strong foundation of temple.

Ram temple is scheduled for completion in 2023.
