Ranchi: Residents of Jharkhand 's Ranchi are set to face power disruptions this weekend, as the Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd has announced scheduled outages for both September 28 (Saturday) and September 29 (Sunday). The outages, expected to last for four hours each day, are part of a planned maintenance initiative to ensure a reliable power supply during the festive season. This maintenance is crucial for the equipment at the 132/33 kVA level in the Hatiya grid, as electricity consumption typically increases during this time.
The power cuts will affect various neighborhoods, raising concerns among residents about the potential impact on daily activities and preparations for upcoming festivals. The electricity department is taking these proactive measures to maintain infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted power supply during the festivities, especially considering the anticipated demand increase during Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath, and Christmas .
List of Affected areas to Face Power cut in Ranchi
The power cuts will take place from 11:15 AM to 3:30 PM on both days. The affected areas on Saturday (September 28) include:
- Raj Bhavan
- Ratu
- Brambe
- Harmu
- Tatisilwe (Tupudana)
- Bero
On Sunday (September 29) power will be disrupted in the following areas:
- Kanke (Pundag)
- Ratu
- Bero
- Dhurwa
- R&D Cell
- Argoda
- High Court Feeder
These outages aim to facilitate the necessary maintenance work to improve the reliability of the power supply throughout the region.
