Ranchi: Junior Doctor at RIMS Falls Off Hostel Building, Dies

Ranchi: A junior doctor died after falling from third floor of hostel building at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) campus in Ranchi in Jharkhand , police said on Monday.

Along with deceased doctor, his female friend also fell off building and whose condition is said to be critical. incident was reported late on Sunday night, October 20. deceased doctor has been identified as Akash, a second-year PG student. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide. 

"A junior doctor died after falling off third floor of hostel number 4, with his female friend, at RIMS (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) campus. woman is in critical condition. Prima facie, it appears to be a suicide case. However, everything will be ascertained after investigation. A probe has been initiated,"said police.

Baraittu Police have launched an investigation into death.
