'Uncommon Leader Who Shaped Very Fabric of Our Nation': N Chandrasekaran on Ratan Tata's Demise

Mumbai: Veteran industrialist Ratan Tata died at a Mumbai hospital late on Wednesday night, a top police quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran, in a statement, confirmed the death of Tata, and described him as his "friend, mentor and guide".

The chairman emeritus of the Tata Group was 86.

He was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai for the past few days.

Billionaire Harsh Goenka also tweeted about Tata's demise, calling him a "titan".

Renowned as a visionary industrialist, shrewd investor, and respected philanthropist, Ratan Tata's impact on the business world is undeniable. 

However, behind his iconic legacy is a key leader guiding Tata Sons, the conglomerate’s main holding company. 

Enter N Chandrasekaran, Ratan Tata’s trusted confidant and the Chairman of Tata Sons, overseeing a vast empire valued at Rs 11 lakh crore.
