Reliance bets big on Madhya Pradesh; eyes more investment

Reliance Industries, chairman Mukesh Ambani on Friday anunced setting up of national distribution centres in Mhya Presh with over 10 million square feet across 45 locations. company, which has over 600 stores and 100 petroleum retail outlets in state, is planning to more than double same over next few years, Ambani said at 'Magnificent MP', investment summit organised by Mhya Presh government.
'Mhya Presh is a natural choice'
"Mhya Presh is a natural choice for logistics hub because of its strategic location. Reliance will be setting up state-of--art national distribution centres in MP with over 10 million sq ft of across 45 locations in state," Ambani anunced through video conferencing.
Ambani, however, did t share investment details of this project. Ambani expressed his inability to attend summit because of board meeting of company on Friday.

He said Reliance will also explore investment opportunities in area of renewable energy in state to promote sustainable development and green ecomy. Reliance is among largest investor in state with investments of over Rs 20,000 crore in last few years, he said."Reliance has developed coal bed methane blocks in state and built first and only gas pipeline that connects it with national gas grid. This opens for multiple future investment opportunities," Ambani said.
RIL is topmost employer in state after Mhya Presh government. Ambani said that Reliance Jio Infocomm has become greatest catalyst for transforming MP into a digital society.

"Today, MP alone consumes more data than South Korea, UK, France, Germany or Cana. I would like to thank all Jio users in state for this record consumption," he ded. He also said all services of Jio will soon be available in Hindi.
