Remains of ancient temple, idols & pillar, discovered at Ram Janmabhoomi excavation site

The ancient remains discovered at Ayodhya Ram Mandir site include several idols and pillars, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra informed.

Amid the ongoing construction of the grand Ram temple, the remains of an ancient temple have been discovered at site in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya. The ancient remains discovered at Ayodhya Ram Mandir site include several idols and pillars, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Champat Rai informed. 

Talking about the said, Rai took to X, formerly Twitter, and shared a picture of the remains discovered. “Remains of an ancient temple found during excavation at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. It includes many statues and pillars,” he tweeted. 

Notably, the picture of the remains discovered at the Ram Temple site in Ayodhya showed several idols and pillars arranged under a shed in a protective manner.  

Consecration of Ram Lalla in January 2024

The consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple is scheduled to be held in January next year. Informing about the same, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Champat Rai also shared dates for the ceremony and said that the trust will also invite PM Modi for the event. 

"The consecration ceremony of Ram Janmabhoomi will take place in the third week of January next year. Three dates – 21, 22, and 23 of January have been fixed for the consecration ceremony. We will invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the ceremony which will also be attended by prominent sadhus and other dignitaries," Rai was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. 

Meanwhile, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad is inviting over 1 lakh seers to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in January.
