Renowned classical singer Pandit Arun Bhaduri passed away at a city hospital on Monday, December 17 morning after a prolonged illness, family sources said

Rewned classical singer Pandit Arun Bhuri passed away at a city hospital on Monday, December 17 morning after a prolonged illness, family sources said.
He was 75 and is survived by wife and son. Pandit Bhuri, considered to be one of masters of Bengali songs and Bhajans, was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and or respiratory ailments for quite some time.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her grief over demise of Pandit Bhuri.
"I am deeply sdened by sudden demise of Pandit Arun Bhuri, an exponent of Kirana, Rampur Gharana.

"He was a guru at state Sangeet Acemy. In 2014, we h conferred Bangabibhusan award. I convey my heartfelt condolence to members of his family, friends, and followers," Banerjee said in a statement.
veteran singer h served as a guru (teacher) at ITC Sangeet Research Acemy and was a top rio and television artiste. Pandit Bhuri was trained in Indian music by Md A Daud and Md Sagiruddin Khan
