Renukaswamy Murder: Chilling CCTV Footage Shows Kidnappers Following 35-Yr-Old On Way to Work
The footage captured on JCR Road showed Renukaswamy travelling on his two-wheeler before he was kidnapped and brutally murdered.

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing investigation into the Renukaswamy murder case, involving Sandalwood actor Darshan and his long time partner Pavithra Gowda, the CCTV footage showing the chilling abduction of the victim on June 8 has emerged. The footage captured on JCR Road showed Renukaswamy travelling on his two-wheeler before he was kidnapped and brutally murdered allegedly at the behest of Darshan.
For the unversed, Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga and a fan of the 47-year-old actor Darshan, had allegedly commented on the social media account of Gowda, a small-time actress, accusing her of creating a rift between the actor and his wife. He had also allegedly used "indecent language" and posted offensive messages, according to police sources.
Renukaswamy, who had left his home at 9.30am, was being followed by his kidnappers after he arrived on Turuvanur Road, the CCTV footage showed.
One of the accused Raghu alias Raghvendra and his gang laid ambush for the victim. After travelling through Turuvanur Road, Renukaswamy came to JCR Road and the kidnappers kept following him. Later, while moving forward, the CCTV captured footage near Gayatri Circle at 9:41am.
After the victim reached near Balaji Bar in Chitradurga, kidnappers blocked his way before pushing him inside the auto rickshaw that they were following him in. It is to be noted that the autorickshaw had an attached image of actor Darshan, also an accused in the case, behind it.
Renukaswamy Murder Case: Chilling Details Emerge
After being kidnapped, Renukaswamy was allegedly beaten up with a belt, and sticks and then thrown against a wall resulting in his death, as chilling details of his murder emerged during the investigation into the case by police, Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, his close friend Pavithra Gowda and 11 of his associates were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder.
Darshan, key accused Gowda and other accused were on Wednesday taken to Pattanagere, where the crime was committed, for a spot inspection. According to police sources, 33-year-old Renukaswamy drew the wrath of Darshan for making lewd comments against Gowda on her social media posts. "It was Pavithra who instigated Darshan to punish Renukaswamy. Accordingly, the plan was hatched," they claimed. "Darshan engaged the Chitradurga unit of Darshan Fan Club Convenor Raghavendra alias Raghu, who obtained all information about Renukaswamy." Renukaswamy's wife Sahana alleged that Raghavendra picked up her husband on Friday night from near their house in Chitradurga.
