RG Kar Student Attempts Suicide After Row with Roommate: Police

Kolkata: A second-year nursing student at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital reportedly attempted to commit suicide after a disagreement with her roommate in hostel, police said on Sunday.

RG Kar student is based out of Purulia district in West Bengal, and is currently receiving treatment at hospital's trauma care unit following incident.

Preliminary investigations suggest that incident occurred late Saturday night after a dispute over switching off light, according to a senior police officer.

" student h filed a complaint with college authorities, but y blamed her, leing to her depression. She was later found in a pool of blood and was rescued by or students. Police are investigating matter," police officer said.
