RSS’ Indresh Kumar says, "Pakistan will face another partition"

RSS’ Indresh Kumar on Tuesday said that Pakistan’s crackdown on dissent within its boundaries will drive the nation towards its end. The leader opined that soon the neighbouring country will witness another partition. While addressing workers of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (an RSS-affiliated organisation) in the national capital, Kumar asserted that “breakup of Pakistan is imminent.” The statement from the leader comes against the backdrop of media reports highlighting brutalities committed by Pakistan administration against several minority groups within the country.

“Now Pakistan has decided that it doesn't want to exist and when it has decided this then what can we do? There is a possibility of the next meeting of Muslim Rashtriya Manch taking place in Lahore. I hope you don't have any objection to coming to Lahore and attending the meet. Lahore is a beautiful city but the breakup of Pakistan is imminent,” he told Republic TV. Recently, during UNGA session in the United States, several anti-Pakistan protests cropped up across New York City, where numerous minority groups called on the international community to take cognisance of the atrocities committed by Islamabad and its military against several minorities and women.

Echoing similar sentiments as Kumar, BJP national spokesperson Amit Malviya told Republic TV, “The kind of atrocities Pakistan has inflicted on its minorities like Hindus, Christians and Sikhs, and several ethnic groups even within the Muslim community, which includes Shias, Ahmadiyyas, and Baluchis, we shouldn’t be surprised if Pakistan faced by internal dissent is not be able to keep itself together for long.”

However, downplaying Kumar’s contention Congress leader Tariq Anwar said that to break Pakistan it would take a leader like Indira Gandhi.  “To break Pakistan into pieces one should have the courage like Indira Gandhi. If she were alive today, Pakistan would have been broken into pieces by now. Lip service won't do anything, Indira Gandhi did this.”

Anwar made the reference to the 1971 War, fought when Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister. The war led to the liberation of East Pakistan, which was later called Bangladesh. Treading similar path as Anwar, NCP leader Majid Memom  also belittled RSS leader’s claim and said, “RSS has a dream of concurring the whole world and it seems they are under a false belief that the religion that they follow is not only the only religion in the world but also superior to everyone else.”

Rajnath Singh warns Pak

Interestingly, Defence Minister Rajnath on Wednesday reminded Islamabad about the breakup of Pakistan and the creation of Bangladesh, warning that something similar could happen in PoK if it did not mend its ways. "Pakistan broke up in 1971 - Pakistan and Bangladesh were formed. I am saying do not repeat the mistake, or else understand clearly what will happen to PoK," he said. Singh made the reference to the 1971 War, fought when Indira Gandhi was prime minister, during an event at Dhankya village in the memory of RSS ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
