Sachin Tendulkar saluted the efforts of the brave ISRO scientists and said that ISRO will take India beyond space and make the country proud. Overwhelming support has poured in for the brave ISRO scientists from all over the world, encouraging the minds to work harder and further in the future. ISRO's plan to soft-land Chandrayaan-2's Vikram module on the Lunar surface did not go as per script in the early hours of Saturday, with the lander losing communication with ground stations during its final descent. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asked ISRO scientists not to get disheartened by the hurdles in the moon mission Chandrayaan-2 and asserted that there will be a "new dawn and better tomorrow".He upheld that there were no setbacks in science, just efforts and experiments, and highlighted the significance of resilience and tenacity to India's ethos. After his speech, PM Modi also consoled an emotional ISRO Chairman K Sivan, reassuring him with a warm hug and several pats on the back.

PM Modi draws inspiration from ISRO scientists

PM Modi said that ISRO is a source of inspiration: "As important as the final result is the journey and the efforts. I can proudly say that efforts were worth it and so was the journey. Our team worked hard and traveled far and those teachings will always remain with us. We will look back on the journey and effort with great satisfaction. The learning from today will make us stronger and better. There will be a new dawn and a brighter tomorrow very soon. It is our culture to work hard without worrying about the result. Our history of thousand years has proven several times that we don't stop when the problem arrives. ISRO is also an example of our strong will power."

The Prime Minister also added: "We have to remember that the journey of Chandrayaan has been magnificent. During this entire mission, the country has been proud and happy several times. Right now, our orbiter is revolving around the moon swiftly. No matter wherever I was - in-country or outside - I always took information about Chandrayaan. ISRO is one of the best space stations because of your hard work. It was your hard work that you hoisted the national flag in Mars in your first attempt. Our Chandrayaan informed the world that there is water in the Moon. These were results of your hard work. We have launched more than 100 satellites together by setting a new record. When ISRO has an encyclopedia of success then few obstructions will not take your flight out of trajectory. Our culture, our mentality, our thinking teaches us that we should not be unhappy and depressed."
