Rumours of Salman Khan distributing money, food created a huge crowd in Mumbai's Bhiwandi late on Wednesday. Police reined in the situation by dispersing them.

Rumours have been one of major hurdles in battle against COVID-19. t just various myths related to coronavirus or numerous steps initiated by authorities that spread like wildfire, messs have also led to huge garings on multiple occasions. Amid need for social distancing to prevent spread of virus, garings of migrants at Bandra railway station and many such instances had come to spotlight.

In ar case, a huge crowd gared in Bhiwandi, on outskirts of Mumbai, after rumours surfaced that Salman Khan was coming to distribute food and money. In videos that have surfaced on social media, one can see a big crowd, mostly boys, many of m without wearing masks and all igring rules of social distancing.

In ar video, some women are heard confirming on camera that y had gared after hearing that Salman was going to come to distribute cash and food. Some said y came to only to see him.

Salman had been at his farmhouse in Panvel, also on outskirts of Mumbai, since start of lockdown. His sisters, nephews, nieces and actors like Jacqueline Fernandez and Walushcha De Sousa were also with him at farmhouse. However, reports claimed on Wednesday that he had made a quick visit to Mumbai, to meet his parents, after travel relaxations were made in parts of country in Lockdown 4.0.
Various initiatives of actor made headlines during lockdown. He transferred cash into accounts of daily w workers of industry, and also provided essentials to locals near his farmhouse. His food truck Being Haangrryy too has been distributing ration and or essentials to people in parts of Mumbai.
