BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra’s Tweet:

In a political attack during an address on September 14, Sharad Pawar said that people are spreading false information to gain political mileage. "I have visited Pakistan and received their hospitality. Pakistanis have relatives in India and they want to meet them and vice versa. But there are visa issues. People here say that those in Pakistan are facing injustice and are unhappy; these things are being said only for political gains without understanding the actual situation in Pakistan. Those in power here are spreading false things for political benefits," he said.

The NCP chief during his address further spoke of Pakistan's hospitality during his visit while adding that people are making false statements on the situation in Pakistan for 'political gains.'

Rajnath Singh: 'Minority communities have always stayed safe in India'

On the contrary to Sharad Pawar's claim, at a felicitation event organised on September 15, in Surat for 122 soldiers who lost their lives on the line of duty, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke about the situation of minorities in Pakistan. "It is not hidden from the world on how Pakistan is treating it's minority communities like Sindhis, Sikhs, Balochis and many such other minorities. Before raising Human Rights Violation in the UN, You should first see the condition of human rights in your own country." He further added, "Minority communities have always stayed safe in India and Pakistan cannot digest this fact." India's minorities were safe, are safe, and will remain safe, he said, adding that India does not divide people on basis of caste or religion.
