Sand scarcity in Andhra: Jana Sena Party to march against State Govt

The Jana Sena Party is organising a 'long march' against the ruling YSRCP Government of Andhra Pradesh to protest over the issue of sand scarcity in the State

protest will begin from Telugu Talli statue at Mdilapalem Junction and will he towards Rama Talkies, Asilmetta, RTC Complex, GVMC building, concluding at Gandhi statue. Jana Sena party founder and President Pawan Kalyan will also dress garing. Jana Sena party president has also extended an invitation to or parties like CPI, BJP, and TDP to join protest. Out of all parties, TDP has extended its support and has assured that it will send representatives from party to protest.

Reacting to march by Jana Sena party, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu and Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar from ruling YSRCP h criticised 'Long March' on Saturday.

While dressing media, State's Agriculture Minister said, "Opposition parties are politicising matter of sand scarcity. All rivers in State are overflowing and all projects are flooded with water. In such conditions, it is highly difficult to mine sand from river which has led to scarcity of sand." He furr alleged Pawan Kalyan of doing politics on directions of TDP, Kannababu said that only Chandrababu Naidu's party TDP was joining march and also stated that Jana Sena h never questioned previous regime on issue.

CM's effort to eve sand crisis

Andhra Presh Chief Minister on October 29 held a review meeting to discuss 'sand short' in State. According to sources, he instructed officials to make sure that sand is t sold to or states “under any circumstances”, and asked areas that border Tamil Nu, Telangana, and Karnataka to be monitored. CM also assured people that all necessary steps are being taken to tackle sand short. He also dismissed comments me by opposition parties as "false".
