Amid fast-paced developments in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, on Monday, is undergoing a check-up at Bandra's Lilavati hospital after continuing chest pains, according to sources. Sources report that Raut h been experiencing pains for past 15 days. This development comes as Sena supremo Uddhav Thackrey completed his meeting with NCP chief Shar Pawar. Both Shiv Sena and Congress are w awaiting Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi to take final call as deline for Sena to stake claim by 7:30 PM on Monday, nears.

BJP in Huddle, Sena-NCP wait for Congress
Meanwhile, sources report that BJP core committee is meeting at former CM Devendra Fnavis' residence in Mumbai and will hold a press conference at 5 PM. BJP has also allegedly summoned its top leers to Mumbai to avoid any defection from saffron party to Sena or any or political party. Similarly, Congress MLAs too are still in Jaipur, amid defection fears. Senior leers like Balasaheb Thorat, Prithviraj Chavan, and Ashok Chavan have flown to Delhi to meet Gandhi, to take a final call on any possible alliance with Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena's sole Union Minister Arvind Sawant too quit Modi cabinet in protest.

Current Maha Assembly numbers
saffron alliance swept Maharashtra on October 24, winning a combined tally of 161 (BJP- 105, Sena -56), but is yet to put its majority to use. Meanwhile, 'Maha- Aghi' alliance (NCP-Congress) bagged 98 seats in total. halfway mark is 145.
