Schools in Chennai to Remain Closed Today After Heavy Rain Alert

Chennai: In light of heavy rain forecast, Chennai district collector, Rashmi Siddharth Zage has declared a holiday for all schools in capital city for Tuesday.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert across multiple districts, with alerts set for 12 districts on vember 12, 17 districts on vember 13, 27 districts on vember 14, and 25 districts on vember 15.

As per wear department, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Cuddalore, Mayiluthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Villuppuram districts, Puducherry and Karaikal area today.
Earlier a week ago, several areas in Rameswaram, Tamil Nu experienced water logging due to heavy rains in region.

areas of Thitagudi, Pryanru and Metturu, experienced waterlogging, affecting traffic in area.
Tamil Nu's sourn region received heavy rainfall on vember 3 due to deep circulation in area of Gulf of Mannar South Peninsular India.
